"We keep our eye pillows in the freezer to be ready for bumps and bruises... A staple in our family comfort kit."

How to use it
- Cool: Place in the freezer in a sealed bag for an hour. Lay across closed eyes on a warm night or after too much screen time.
- Warm: Microwave on a clean plate for 20 to 30 seconds, supervised. Drape across closed eyes for evening wind down or savasana.
- Room temperature: The gentle weight alone is lovely for meditation, yoga nidra, or quiet rest.

Heating & safety
Microwave times (find your wattage on the label inside the door):
- Eye Pillow: 700 to 900 watts, 30 to 40 seconds. 1000 to 1100 watts, 20 to 30 seconds. 1200 watts or more, 15 to 25 seconds. Add 10-second steps after that only if needed.
- Start at the low end and heat in short steps. Never leave it in the microwave unattended.
- Knead it to spread the heat, then test it on the inside of your wrist. It should feel comfortably warm, never hot.
- Let it cool completely before you heat it again.
- Do not sleep with a heated wrap, and do not use heat on skin that cannot feel temperature well (for example with diabetes, nerve damage, poor circulation, numbness, or after surgery).
- Not for babies or young children. Never place a weighted product on an infant.
- If it ever smells scorched, stop using it and email me. I will make it right.
Cool: seal in a bag and freeze for about an hour. Use a thin cloth between a frozen piece and bare skin, up to 20 minutes at a time.
Care
Keep it dry and spot clean only. Never submerge it, since water damages the flaxseed fill.
Why deep pressure helps
Gentle weight over closed eyes and brow invites the face to soften and gives your body a quiet cue to rest, while blocking out light. Warm or cool adds a second layer of comfort.
These are statements about comfort and relaxation, not medical claims.
FAQ
How is it different from your everyday Weighted Eye Pillow?Same construction, weight, flaxseed fill, and herb options. The only difference is the cover fabric, a small batch print we won't make again.
Who is Dr. Karen Nyberg?Earth Views fabric is printed from photographs of Earth taken by NASA astronaut Dr. Karen Nyberg aboard the International Space Station. We bought it directly under contract with her, and once these last pieces are gone, the print is permanently retired.
Why is it discounted? We're closing out the last of the Earth Views fabrics to make room for new collections. Nothing is wrong with the product. We just won't be making this fabric again.
Is it safe for sensitive skin? The cover is 100% cotton, with no synthetic fabric. The scent comes from whole dried herbs sewn inside, with no added essential oils or synthetic fragrance.
