I came to yoga the way a lot of young athletes do: sideways. My mother got my sister and me a gym membership when we were competing as swimmers, and yoga was part of what was offered. What I found was a practice that paid attention to something I had not expected: how the body signals its own state. Not just how to make it faster or stronger, but how to listen to what it is already trying to say.
That attention to the body, to what it needs when it is overwhelmed, when it cannot settle, when it is asking for something it cannot name, is the foundation of every product I make. I started PMC in 2015 on a homestead in New Hampshire. I sew every product myself. Everything is made from 100% natural materials, never synthetic, because the nervous system deserves fabric that does not fight back.
My mission is straightforward: really help people regulate their nervous system. Not sell them something that sounds calming. Actually help.

Cotton, linen, flaxseed, dried herbs. Never synthetic. A sensitized nervous system does not need fabric that creates friction, heat, or static.

How PMC Started
I stitched my first wrap to support my mother during a time of serious illness. The weight and warmth helped her breathe more easily. It helped her settle when nothing else was working. I watched something shift in her body when she put it on, and I understood that what I had made was more than a comfort object. It was a physical signal of safety.
My husband Aaron and I launched Parker Mountain Comfort Wraps in 2015, inspired by that first wrap and by our life on a homestead in New Hampshire, rooted in the land, in natural materials, in the belief that the simplest things done with care are often the most powerful. Aaron is my silent partner and the reason the business runs. I make the products. We share the mission.
Every wrap that leaves this house carries that same intention: give the nervous system something real to hold onto.
