How to use it
- Warm: Folds to fit in the microwave, even a small one. Microwave for 1.5 to 2 minutes, heating in 30 second intervals. Never leave it unattended, and let it rest a moment before use. Natural flaxseed can scorch if overheated, so stop as soon as it feels comfortably warm.
- Cool: Seal in a bag and place in the freezer. Lovely on a warm, wakeful night.
- Room temperature: Often the weight alone is the point. Just drape it on and breathe.
- Where: Across your shoulders and neck, over your chest, around your lower back, on your hips, across your lap, or over your belly.

Heating & safety
Microwave times (find your wattage on the label inside the door):
- Body Wrap: 700 to 900 watts, 2 to 2½ minutes. 1000 to 1100 watts, 1½ to 2 minutes. 1200 watts or more, 1¼ to 1¾ minutes. Add 30-second steps after that only if needed.
- Start at the low end and heat in short steps. Never leave it in the microwave unattended.
- Knead it to spread the heat, then test it on the inside of your wrist. It should feel comfortably warm, never hot.
- Let it cool completely before you heat it again.
- Do not sleep with a heated wrap, and do not use heat on skin that cannot feel temperature well (for example with diabetes, nerve damage, poor circulation, numbness, or after surgery).
- Not for babies or young children. Never place a weighted product on an infant.
- If it ever smells scorched, stop using it and email me. I will make it right.
Cool: seal in a bag and freeze for about an hour. Use a thin cloth between a frozen piece and bare skin, up to 20 minutes at a time.
Care
The outer cover is removable and machine washable. The weighted insert should stay dry: spot clean only, and never fully submerge it, since water damages the flaxseed fill. Kept dry, it stays fresh and fragrant for a long time.
Why deep pressure helps
The wrap combines two simple, time honored sources of comfort. First, gentle weight: the soft, even pressure of a 3 pound wrap resting on the body offers what is often called deep touch pressure, the same reassuring feeling as a firm hug or a hand on your back. Second, temperature: warmed, it soothes tight, tired muscles, and chilled, it feels cool and calming on a warm, wakeful night. Together they give your nervous system the signal it has been waiting for: you are safe, you can rest.
Made for: wired but tired evenings, warm, wakeful perimenopause nights, neck, shoulder, and lower back tension, lower belly warmth during your period, winding down before sleep, and everyday stress and overwhelm.
These are statements about comfort and relaxation, not medical claims.
FAQ
How big is the Weighted Body Wrap?It measures 9" x 32" and is quilted in 3" x 3" squares, like a weighted blanket, so the weight stays evenly spread along the whole wrap.
Will it fit in my microwave?Yes. The wrap folds easily to fit in the microwave, including smaller ones. Heat it in short intervals and never leave it unattended.
Is it heavy? No. The weight is spread evenly across the quilted squares, so it feels like gentle, steady pressure rather than heaviness. It sits comfortably around your neck or anywhere on your body.
How is this different from a regular heating pad?A heating pad only adds warmth, plugs into the wall, and stays in one place. The Weighted Body Wrap adds gentle, grounding weight on top of warmth, works hot or cold, needs no cord, and is made to be worn on your shoulders, back, hips, lap, or belly. The weight is the difference: it gives the calming, settled feeling of deep pressure that a flat heating pad cannot.
Will I actually feel something? Most people feel the grounding weight right away, the same kind of steady, reassuring pressure you notice from a firm hug or a heavy blanket. Warmed or chilled, the temperature adds a second layer of comfort. It is a sensory experience meant to help you relax and settle, not a medical device.
Is it good during perimenopause? Many of our customers reach for the Body Wrap during perimenopause, especially the cool side straight from the freezer on a warm, wakeful night, and the gentle warmth on tense, restless evenings. It is made for comfort during those moments. It does not treat or cure any condition, it simply offers a natural, soothing way to feel more settled.
Where on my body can I wear it?Anywhere tension lives. Drape it across your shoulders and neck, rest it over your chest, wrap it around your lower back, lay it across your lap, or place it warm over your belly. The long, flexible shape molds to wherever you need it most.
What is it made of?A cotton and linen shell filled with whole flaxseed and dried herbs, with a removable, machine washable 100% cotton cover. No plastic pellets, no clay beads, no synthetic fragrance. It is handmade in small batches in New Hampshire.
