How to use it
- Room temperature: How most people use them, most of the time. Just hold, press, and turn.
- Warm (oven only): Place on a cookie sheet in a 250°F oven for 1 to 2 minutes. Stay in the kitchen, and don't let the fidget touch the oven walls or heating element. Not microwavable because of the glass marbles inside.
- Cool: Seal in a plastic bag and place in the freezer for about 1 hour.
Size & weight
- Includes: 2 fidgets
- Size: 3.5" x 3.5" each
- Weight: 2.5 oz each
- Fabric: 100% cotton Earth Views print
- Fill: Whole flaxseed, your choice of dried herbs, and glass marbles
- Ages: All ages, with adult supervision for children because of the small marbles inside
- Made by hand in: New Hampshire, USA
Care
Spot clean only with cool water and mild soap. The fidgets are sewn closed and should not be machine washed or fully submerged. Water damages the flaxseed fill and dulls the herb scent. Kept dry, they stay fragrant and shapely for a long time.
Why deep pressure helps
The 2.5 ounce weight per fidget is small but real: heavy enough to feel grounding when held, light enough to keep moving between hands. The two glass marbles inside shift as you press and turn it, a quiet, repeatable sensation that gives anxious or restless hands something specific to focus on. It is the same idea behind worry stones and prayer beads, the kind of small tactile tool occupational therapists use for regulation.
These are statements about comfort and relaxation, not medical claims.
FAQ
What is the Earth Views fabric?Earth Views fabric is printed from photographs of Earth taken by NASA astronaut Dr. Karen Nyberg aboard the International Space Station. We bought it directly under contract with her, and once these last pieces are gone, the print is permanently retired.
Why can't I microwave them? The glass marbles inside can't go in a microwave. Warm them on a cookie sheet in a 250°F oven for 1 to 2 minutes instead, and stay nearby.
