Three pounds of soothing pressure. A hug you can count on.
The Parker Mountain Weighted Body Wrap is a 3-pound microwavable hot/cold aromatherapy wrap with a removable, machine-washable 100% cotton cover that slides on like a pillowcase. Long and narrow at 9" x 32", it drapes around your neck and shoulders, wraps around your belly, or lays along your lower back. The shape goes where the tension is. The weight settles your nervous system. The scent quietly reminds your body it's safe to soften. No plastic, no metal, no synthetic anything.
This is the everyday wrap in our line. Lighter than the Deluxe, but the same craftsmanship: hand-sewn in New Hampshire, filled with whole flaxseed and your choice of dried herbs.
A wrap that goes where you need it
The 9" x 32" shape is what makes this piece quietly versatile. Unlike a square wrap, the long narrow form follows the curves of the body. Drape it around the neck and across the shoulders like a soft scarf. Wrap it around the belly during cramps, bloating, or those days when nothing in your middle feels right. Lay it lengthwise across your lower back when sitting has gone on too long. Loop it across your collarbones during meditation. Wherever you place it, the 3 pounds is enough to feel grounding, light enough to wear hands-free for as long as you'd like.
The flaxseed fill provides natural moist heat when warmed (the seeds absorb humidity from the air and release it as gentle, soothing warmth) and stays cold for over an hour when frozen. The cotton cover keeps the temperature steady against your skin and slides off for washing whenever you want to refresh it.
What this wrap is good at
- Neck and shoulder tension from desk work, screens, and long days
- Lower back stiffness from sitting, driving, or sleep that didn't quite land
- Belly comfort during cramps, bloating, gas, or postpartum recovery
- Sleep support draped across the chest or belly for grounding pressure
- Anxiety and overwhelm as wearable deep touch pressure during hard moments
- Headache relief when used cold across the forehead, neck, or shoulders
- Post-workout recovery for sore muscles and small injuries
Made of natural materials. Nothing else.
Every Parker Mountain wrap is made with:
- 100% cotton fabric on the cover and the inner pouch. No synthetic fleece, no polyester, no minky.
- Whole flaxseed as the fill. No clay beads, no plastic pellets, no glass beads, no rice that goes stale.
- Dried herbs for the scent. Food-grade, naturally scented, no added essential oils, no synthetic fragrance.
- Open-end cover. The cover slides on like a pillowcase. The weight of the wrap holds it in place. No zippers, no snaps, no velcro. Nothing to break, nothing to scratch, nothing to throw off in the microwave.
This matters for everyday comfort, and it matters for what touches your skin during cramps, anxiety, or the kind of day when you just need something safe.
Hot, cold, or just the weight
Three ways to use it. The cover stays on for all three.
- Warm (microwave heating pad): Place the wrap on a clean plate in the microwave for 60 to 90 seconds, then add 15-second increments if you'd like more heat (do not exceed 2 minutes total). The flaxseed releases gentle moist heat that holds for about 20 minutes. Beautiful for tension, cramps, cold mornings, or evening wind-down.
- Cold (cold therapy wrap): Seal the wrap in a bag and place in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours. The flaxseed retains cold for over an hour. Lovely for headaches, hot flashes, post-workout recovery, and inflammation.
- Room temperature: The 3-pound weight alone is enough on its own. Drape across the chest, belly, or shoulders for the calming effect of deep touch pressure without heat or cold.
Choose your scent
- Lavender: soft and settling, our most popular for evening and rest.
- Spearmint: bright and clean, gentle daytime lift.
- Peppermint: cool and crisp, a stronger fresh note for headaches and post-workout use.
- Lavender + Spearmint: the calm of lavender with a fresh lift of spearmint, balanced for any time of day.
- Unscented: pure flaxseed weight, no herbs, for those with scent sensitivities.

Frequently asked questions
Can a weighted body wrap help with menstrual cramps or belly discomfort?
Yes, this is one of the most common uses. The 9 by 32 inch shape wraps comfortably around the belly, and the 3-pound weight provides gentle pressure that many people find soothing during cramps, bloating, and postpartum recovery. Used warm, the natural moist heat from the flaxseed adds another layer of relief. We're not medical practitioners, but the same principles behind a heating pad apply here, with the added benefit of weight and aromatherapy.
Can a weighted heating pad help with neck, back, or shoulder tension and pain?
Many of our customers use the Body Wrap for everyday muscle tension and pain in the shoulders, neck, lower back, and hips. The 3-pound weight provides gentle pressure (called deep touch pressure) that helps muscles soften and release. Used warm, the flaxseed produces natural moist heat, which research suggests penetrates deeper than dry heat. It is not a medical device, but it is the same kind of piece used by massage therapists and yoga teachers in their own practices.
Is this heating pad plastic-free and natural?
Yes. Every Parker Mountain wrap is made with 100% cotton fabric, whole flaxseed fill, and dried herbs for the scent. No plastic, no metal, no synthetic fleece, no clay or plastic beads, no added essential oils, no synthetic fragrance. The cover is open-end and slides on and off like a pillowcase, with no zippers, snaps, or closures of any kind. This is one of the few fully natural-material weighted heating pads available.
How is the Body Wrap different from the Deluxe Wrap?
Two main differences: shape and weight. The Body Wrap is long and narrow (9" x 32", 3 lbs), made to wrap around the body, the neck, the belly, or along the lower back. The Deluxe Wrap is larger and squarer (22" x 24", 5 lbs), made to drape over the body across the shoulders, chest, or lap. Both are microwavable, freezable, and have removable covers. Many customers own both, using the Body Wrap for everyday and the Deluxe for deeper relief.
Do I need to remove the cover to heat or freeze the wrap?
No. The cover stays on during microwave and freezer use. Both the cotton cover and the inner flaxseed pouch are designed to handle hot and cold cycles together. The cover only comes off when you want to wash it, and because it's an open-end pull-on style (no zippers or closures), it slides off as easily as a pillowcase.
How do I heat or freeze the Body Wrap?
To warm: place the wrap on a clean plate in the microwave for 60 to 90 seconds, then add 15-second increments if you'd like more heat. Do not exceed 2 minutes total. Always test the temperature against your wrist before placing on the body. To cool: seal the wrap in a bag and place in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours. The cover stays on for both.
How do I wash the Body Wrap?
The cover slides off like a pillowcase. Machine wash on cold with mild detergent and tumble dry low or hang to dry. The inner flaxseed pouch is sewn closed and should not be washed or submerged. Spot clean the inner pouch only if needed. Water damages the flaxseed fill.
What is moist heat and why does it matter?
Flaxseed naturally absorbs humidity from the air. When microwaved, it releases that humidity as gentle, penetrating moist heat. Moist heat has been shown to reach deeper into muscle tissue than dry heat, which is why physical therapists often prefer it. No water needs to be added; the flaxseed does the work on its own.
What does deep touch pressure actually do?
Deep touch pressure is the calming sensation of steady, even weight on the body. It's the same reason a long hug feels different than a quick one. The pressure activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the "rest and digest" side), which helps the body shift out of stress mode. For many people, this means muscles soften, breathing deepens, and the mind quiets.
How do I choose a scent?
Lavender is the most popular for evening and rest. Spearmint is bright and gentle, good for daytime use. Peppermint is cooler and crisper, often chosen for headaches or post-workout cooling. The lavender and spearmint blend balances calm and freshness. Unscented is a thoughtful choice for those with scent sensitivities. All herbs are dried, food-grade, and naturally scented with no added oils.
